One of the things I truly enjoy is spending time reading the sports page on the weekend. The Dallas Morning News has some great writers and the "old soul" in me likes sitting down with a cup of tea (I'm English - but the tough English, not the Ricky Hatton English) and reading through the paper. It wont be long until most major papers are no longer in print in lieu of the internet which wont be the same!

RIP Chuck Daly. Basketball loses a hall of fame coach. The ring leader for the "Bad Boy" Detroit Pistons teams of the 80's and early 90's. Prayers and thoughts go out to his family, friends, and colleagues. Ironic that this year the NBA playoffs have taken a much "tougher" persona than what I remember in the past couple of seasons. Suspensions, flagrant fouls, and trash talking seem to be higher and it's made the playoffs much more interesting. If only the Mavs could start participating...
Leon Lett graduates from UNLV today. The man who committed two of the dumbest plays in NFL history (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2kcpTmheM4) will walk the stage. Congratulations to him.

Sam Keller is suing EA Sports for using his likeness in the NCAA Football game. Dude, that character wasnt you. The guy in the video game was actually a good QB, not an overhyped primadonna who didnt come close to living up to his own hype. Sam will never play in the NFL so he wont have to worry about Madden using his "likeness".
Good news - Pens, Canes, Marlins, and Twins all won last night.
Bad news - There's still rumors of Favre going to Minnesota and Julius Peppers still hasnt signed his tender.

I dont know (or care) much of the details of the Dirk Nowitzki drama. But how the hell is one of the top 20 NBA players dating a woman who looks like this (http://www.nationalledger.com/artman/uploads/cristal_taylor.jpg). Not only is he a candy ass softy on the floor but hes got no respect for himself or the broke men of the world who are forced to have sex with ugly women because we cant be too choosy.
